I'd collected three Pepsi bottlecaps, and, before looking underneath them, suddenly intuited that one of them would say "Buy 1, Get 1 Free." The third cap I turned over said exactly that.

I was sitting at my desk, pushing back my cuticles with a pushpin. I was thinking that, if my manager passed by, I'd rather have him see me working. Seconds later, he passed me from behind [and I was indeed back to work].

At work, a wall separates my cubicle from Jeanette's. Today, I was putting up new pictures on that wall. At one point, I had my hand flat against it, and an image of Jeanette popped into my mind. A second later, she rounded the corner on her way to the kitchen. I was floored!

Death Startle

Had a dream involving my ailing, 101-year-old grandmother aboard the Death Star. Because her health had started declining during the past one to two weeks, I believed my dream indicated that she had died overnight.

While visiting my parents, something made me think of Elaine's line, "He's the loser ... to the victor belong the spoils." I don't recall what triggered the memory, but it occurred to me when I was returning a pen to my parents' computer room.

The midnight episode of Seinfeld, "The Lip Reader," contained that very quote from Elaine.

I went outside this afternoon to take a break from work. I smelled someone grilling hamburgers and was reminded of Newman's line, "It's the wood that makes it good," from the Seinfeld episode, "The Chicken Roaster." At 11 p.m. that night, this episode was on TV.

1) 9 p.m.: Whenever I think of the Harry Potter movies, the first scene I recall is from the first one, when Ron says to Harry about Hermione, "She really needs to get her priorities straight." Tonight, in-between episodes of The Twilight Zone, I switched over to ABC Family to see whether it was still showing the marathon of That '70s Show. What I saw was that Harry Potter scene, right at Ron's line.
2) 9:10 p.m.: I listened to a voice mail message that Carl had left me earlier. I wondered what he could possibly be calling about, since we hadn't been in contact for almost a week. The only thought that came to mind was that he wanted to "remind" me of our "plans" to see The Dark Knight on July 18. Surely enough, that was the first thing he mentioned.

Extremely lethargic this morning, cause unknown, because I got plenty of sleep over the weekend.
1) I was in the men's room at work, washing my hands, when the door opened. I immediately thought, or the thought flashed in my head, "That's Brian R." A second later, the person passed in front of the mirror and it was indeed Brian.
2) I was filling out my Excel worksheet of RUs edited when the thought occurred to me, "Mark is going to be e-mailing my QC back to me." A second later, that's exactly what happened.

An interesting, noteworthy coincidence this morning: I used Raid Ant & Roach Killer to spray a wasp in my room. About a half-hour later, a Raid Ant & Roach Killer ad was on the radio.

In the morning, as I backed out of my garage and then started forward to exit the driveway, I swung the car closer than usual to the neighbor's garage door. I thought, "Wouldn't it be weird if their garage door opened right now?" A second later, it did.

Looked up "Russian leaders" on Wikipedia. I'd been wondering who succeeded Stalin in 1953. I didn't think it was Khrushchev; I thought he didn't come along until the 1960s. Anyway, I also read a little about Brezhnev, and was reminded of the line from Seinfeld about Brezhnev being the ugliest world leader of all time.

Psi Fi?
Here, I'll begin transcribing (from a notebook) various instances of "precognition" that I've experienced in 2008. A lot of them detail flashes of insight I've had regarding which Seinfeld episode was going to be on television in a given evening/morning, without my having consulted any TV listings.
Make what you will of these; regardless, I believe I'm gifted with some kind of latent prescience. I just wish I could learn to control and manipulate it, instead of getting unbidden flashes of insight mere moments before a minor event happens.
