Anybody know what happens if you insert your credit card at the gas pump and then fail to "remove [it] quickly"?

Bottlecap Bafflement

Have you ever found one of those "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" Pepsi bottlecaps and tried to redeem it at the store? No offense intended to check-out attendants, but, nine times out of 10, are they not stymied by the correct procedure to follow? Aren't the store managers teaching them how to ring up these transactions, or at least including a "how to" card at each register? Sheesh, throw your frontline workers a freakin' bone, bosses!

A Script(ural) Change?

When humans finally establish permanent colonies on the Moon or Mars, should the Christian colonists change a bit of wording in the Lord's Prayer? For example, instead of saying "on Earth as it is in Heaven," will we say "on the Moon as it is in Heaven," or "on Mars as it is in Heaven"? Will God mind if the colonists just go ahead and change it, or does the Pope have to convene Vatican III to deliberate the matter first?

To "E" or Not to "e"?

Why do people say "the" Earth? Like, for example, "One day, astronauts will leave the Earth to colonize Mars."

No, see, our planet is just "Earth." If you put "the" in front of it, then you're talking about the ground or the soil, and, therefore, the "e" in "earth" should be lowercase.

So, it's the planet "Earth," and farmers must till "the earth" to plant crops.
